Program Structure

How does it work?

  • Short classes so you can learn at your own pace on any device and whenever you want.
Dedicate an average of 20 min. per class.
  • You’ll enjoy an intuitive platform where you can view the program and do the self-assessment tests.
  • Once you finish a class, you go on to the next one.
  • You can take the classes whenever you want. You can take them as soon as you receive them or wait to take several on a single day. Just remember, the longer you wait, the more you’ll have to do. But that’s the good thing. You manage your time.
  • Each class is offered through videos, diagrams, graphics, etc. Examples are provided with videos on case studies, reports, references, etc. and you’re assessed with real cases, tests, etc.
  • After each class, you’ll have to do an assessment test to assimilate the explanations and as you finish each Block, you’ll have to do a FINAL TEST on the entire Block which can include any of the concepts covered by the classes taken in that Block.
  • We recommend you use the downloadable material from each block which supports the
classes for more information as necessary.
  • IMPORTANT: To earn your TEP certificate, you need to pass with a score above 7.5% of the FINAL TESTS in each Block.

Besides videos, are there any other training resources?

Yes. The program offers video compositions and additional text-based study aids, templates, PDFs, summaries, photographs, articles, wildland reports, real case studies and all types of material produced by firefighters around the world.

How long does it last?

The platform is open 24 / 7 so that the student adapts to their times, as they deem necessary. It is advisable to go at a pace that allows concepts to be assimilated, which translates into one class a day and around two or three classes per week so that it does not involve an overexertion.

The calculated minimum effort time for our programs are:

      • TEP Operational Reasoning: 20 horas.

     • TEP Compact: 20 horas.

What are the lessons like?

The program is structured into short lessons on various concepts for progressive learning. They feature text, video, interviews with professionals, links to other videos, news, questions, etc.

For more detailed information, please refer to the question How does it work? under “Program Structure” in our FAQ.

What devices can I use to study?

You can take the TEP lessons on your computer, tablet, smartphone or any other mobile device.

Do I need any prior training in wildland fire emergencies?

It’s not necessary. You’ll learn the basic concepts and get expanded information if you’re already in the wildland sector.

Are there any assessment tests?

Yes. There’s a test and practical exercises at the end of each lesson and you’ll do a final one after each Block to reinforce what you’ve learned.

IMPORTANT: to earn your TEP certificate, you need to pass 75% of the FINAL TESTS in each Block.

Is anyone available to answer my questions?

Yes. You can contact our experts via our contact email hola@emergprogram.com and our chat, which you can find on the homepage of our website.

How have you made it more enjoyable?

People normally have to take long classes (> 60 min.) and thus get bored and bogged down before even starting.

We, however, have created very focused classes which are useful and entertaining in just 15 minutes. That means it’s much easier to find the time to take them and stay attentive without any distractions. The method we use is microlearning which will allow you to study very short and easy-to-follow lessons with content designed for learning to be intuitive and natural.

Plus, since we cover current topics, the content is also quite attractive.

This questionnaire will help you decide whether you’re interested in learning.

Financial Terms

How much does it cost?

We want everyone to be able to access quality wildland fire emergency training. So, we’ve made sure the price is affordable for anyone at €80.

How can we offer it at such a competitive price?

Perhaps you’re surprised that a program with the participation of the best sector professionals
can have such a competitive price.  There are two reasons:

  1. Our mission is for all sector professionals to be able to access higher-quality training as part of our efforts to disseminate knowledge of the issues around the world and providing the opportunity to know about it, join forces and mitigate the sixth generation (GIFs, generally) by preparing operational teams to be more efficient.
  2. We’ve innovated with our business model, seeking “Innovation in Value”: more value at a lower cost.

Are invoices issued?

Yes. After making payment, you must request one at: hola@emergprogram.com providing all your billing information.

Recognition and Certification

Who created the training program?

The content has been created in collaboration with experts from around the world and thanks to official pioneering programs in the wildland sector such as European Fire Research, which is the officially regulated training in Europe used as a reference by GRAF and firefighters around the world.

Is it an officially regulated program?

No and we don’t want it to be. Officially regulated programs have to stick to specific Curricula which don’t allow for flexibility.

We’re constantly updating the program meaning the content is frequently reviewed, approved and perfected by our expert trainers and fire community.

Our training is not meant to assess but rather enhance what you already know and give your knowledge value so you can apply it to your occupation.

What are the certification requirements?

You must complete 100% of the classes and do all the tests that come with the course.

The tests have been created as another learning resource to help reinforce the concepts.
